Peace, I am Aisha Jacqueline Sibi & I believe in the importance of conscious life & Death.
I am an interfaith community chaplain, spiritual care provider, end of life planner, & death doula serving Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom, & King counties including areas from Seattle to Bellingham. I am also willing to do virtual visits no matter where you live. I offer support with practical, spiritual, & emotional care for life’s journey from birth to death and all the precious moments in between. My passion is to help individuals and their loved ones prepare for death so that they may live a more prepared, peaceful, & present life. It is an honor to be a calm, supportive presence as individuals cross the threshold into the beyond. I am available to do post death administration, body care, & home funerals. I can lead & plan ceremonies of all types including as a wedding officiant, birth/naming ceremonies, healing or sister circles, meaningful birthday celebrations, pre & post death celebration of life etc. I can be a partner to help individuals search for meaning, hope, & a connection to the Divine or nature starting within themselves. I meet people where they are at & support individuals on whatever spiritual or emotional path they are on. Whether they are devoted to a particular religious or spiritual belief or are an atheist, agnostic, or have no professed religion or spirituality.
My work is of an extremely intimate nature so I believe it is important for you to understand who I am because my journey & life experience is unique. I am a farm girl from Nebraska who was homeschooled and went on to explore the globe along with different realms of human beliefs & consciousness. I have done a variety of spiritual & religious studies including extensive Biblical studies, time at a bible university, and studies in Jerusalem. I have a certificate from UniversalChaplaincy in interfaith community chaplaincy along with my death doula certificate from GoingwithGrace. I am NationalEndofLifeDoulaAlliance(NEDA) Proficient. I have also received training for Islamic Trauma Healing, & as a volunteer for HospiceNW & EndofLifeWA. I have worked professionally in the midwifery world as operations manager of a birth center & had 3 out of hospital births. For much of my life I thought I would end up doing more work with birth, post-partum, & advocacy for women’s rights around childbirth. I enjoy giving support to families during pregnancy & the complex journey of parenthood. However my life’s path has expanded beyond my expectations and now I am drawn to death work as well, the other side of the coin. I am a life long learner who is passionate about interfaith/intercultural relationships, understanding, & unity. I am a globally conscious individual with a particular love for Africa. My husband is from The Gambia, Africa and it is our second home. I have served on the board of several non-profits & hope to someday start my own non-profit to support the community work we do in Africa. Until then the majority of the income I earn from my spiritual care work with go to support the community work we do in The Gambia. We welcome partners & donations of unopened over the counter medicines and medical supplies. Contact me if you want more information on how to get involved. We are raising 5 children in the wilderness of the North Cascades. Our special gift in life is our 10 year old son who has Down Syndrome & a congenital heart defect; he brings so much joy, comedy, & an example of resilience to our life. We have our own business called Sibi Firewood to support us. I have faced many days of struggle & grief in my life, as we all do, including personal experience with surviving domestic violence & the resulting mental health struggles, postpartum depression, a mid-life diagnosis of a painful neurological movement disorder, & the loss of loved ones from this physical world. I believe the challenges I have faced in my life make me more prepared to humbly serve others in their time of need. My work is to support you and your loved ones to be able to find meaning & embrace the transitions & struggles of life, from birth to death & everything in between. I am able to hold space and provide support for individuals facing crisis of faith/life meaning, illness, trauma, grief, & death. My desire is to manifest the light & love of the Divine, cultivate compassionate living, support the unification of humanity, & bring awareness to the interconnection of all life. I can hold space for any type of life challenge you may face & provide free consultations, sliding scale fees, & pro-bono services so do not let money be an obstacle in seeking my help.
